This WL is nothing but a tool. Trading is a marathon where months is just for warming up - ask anyone who have been in the business long enough. There is also no single best trading strategy. As long as the cart ("trading strategy") is put before the horse i.e. risk management, position sizing, portfolio/system diversification, even becoming a certified application developer won't help.

Just my two cents.

If anyone finds a strategy that works please let me know. I've been at it for 30 years and have not found one yet. Some work great on historic data (called 'curve fitting') but all fail on new real-time data.

I run a few things that work and have a proven track record in realtime/forward trading.
(search for Ruby, Topaz and Pearl on www.collective2.com)

These strategies/scripts run on WL4, they don't use any "classic TA Indicators" but my own inventions based on my own research.

If you want to reap the fruits of some years of hard work (following even more years of education) without investing such a long time it is probably best to simply subscribe to one of these working and proven systems.

I'll pay $64k FOR A STRATEGY THAT PRODUCES 0.10% net gain PER DAY.
EVERDAY!
It must trade DIA, Q's, SPY, OR any 2x ETF,
with volume exceeding 100k per 3minute session.
Minimum trades $100k, maximum $1M.
Funds employed must return to cash EOD.
Anyone?

QUOTE:
0.10% net gain PER DAY. EVERDAY!

I sense a gross misunderstanding here.

Misunderstanding about how markets and trading work.

Let me put it in simple words.

I think the markets are like weather, predictions of future market directions are as hard as weather forecasts.
Where I live (in Germany) it is very hard to tell if its rainy or sunny five days from now.

What you require is a little bit of sunshine EVERYDAY.

I guess you can't find a region in the world which gives you that pleasure.
(I have seen cloudy days in the Sahara, even rain!)

Back to trading systems: I could build a system for you which has a probability better than 90% to be up (more than 5%) in any year. But you'll have to trade more instruments to improve the odds and it'll cost you (much) more than $64k.

Your 0.1% per day is 28% annualized. Even the best fonds make only 20% per year (for more than one year in a row). And this is after averaging 250 trading days. Think about it.

garron,

I’ll take you up on your offer with an added performance fee.

Agreeable Terms:

0.10% per day average. No losing week. No losing month. Can lose a day here and there. No one’s perfect… 1 M initial capital, sunset: 5 years. Your end goal: 6.4 M.

Charge:

Initial charge: 32k upfront. Other 32k in six months.
Performance fee: what ever exceeds 0.10% per day. You always get your 0.10% first. So your fee will be what exceeds your end goal.

Happy trading.

How about this one (developed for my 401K):

78.95% profitable trades (sorry not 100% yet).
Long only. Daily. S&P, ETF's, QQQQ, large mutual funds.
$598,000 profit vs. B&H -$590,000 loss.

Not sure the daily profit. Past performance is no indication of future returns.

Roland, thanx for your reply and counter.
With respect, it's unacceptable.
No upfront deposits, perhaps performance LOC.
Decline partnering or sunsets.
Perhaps ok on rare losing days, only if i can quantify & qualify them.

Stumbled onto this old topic. Here are live trading strategies with a public track record. They can be subscribed to and the signals can be downloaded to Wealth-Lab for execution:
