Hi there,

I am interested in running WL on a MAC (OSX) in native mode.
As far as I can see it only runs now with some kind of virtualization (for example bootcamp).
But that would mean living with this crummy Windows again!

So the question would be if there are any plans in the foreseeable future to bring WL running on MAC?

No, sorry.

Wealth-Lab Pro currently requires an unmanageable component, FidelityServer, chances of running it natively are very low. Developer is free from this, so maybe some enthusiast could find out if WLD 5.4 can start under Mono -- they claim it runs .NET 2.0 applications without recompilation?

Hi Cone,

That was quick and short!

But some explanation on your side would be appreciated!

I did some research about trading platforms for the MAC and I have the impression that a lot would be interested in this!

So could you give some explanation on your statement?!

Hi Eugene,

thanks for the input.
Does the mean that there is a chance that WL Developer could run natively when installing on the MAC this MONO-Component?

You have the Mac and I don't, please try Mono and let the community know.

Yes, I will take a look at this (possibly next weekend).
Would be very cool if it works!

My mistake. I thought you were asking if Wealth-Lab was going to be targeted specifically for the Mac.

I run Wealth lab on a Mac using VM ware Fusion (windows XP). You can toggle between windows and OSX. Works great.

hi carloseta,

I would like to avoid using windows on a Mac.
I think the quality of windows is generally very poor; furthermore you also have a security problem then.

so the native approach would be the best case scenario for me. Maybe this Mono component will do the job ...

Cone,

My personal goal was to find a way to get WL running on a Mac natively.

I also could imagine that because of the increasing market share of the macs WealthLab could attract quite a number of new customers!
