Hello -- I installed WealthLab Pro v5.5 ~2 days ago, and it was working fine. I was playing with the various windows and I think sometime yesterday I closed the "strategy monitor" window. Now, everytime I try to open it up I get an unhandled exception. I tried uninstalling and re-installing and unfortunately I get the same exception.

Even when I try to "Add to Strategy Monitor" from a strategy, it causes the same crash.

Machine Information:
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
Version: 5.5.28.0
I've received this from Fidelity

The specific error message:
Unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

The details:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

Thank you for reporting it. This exception message (not a crash) is caused by deleting or renaming a DataSet after adding a strategy to the Strategy Monitor. This known bug will be fixed in version 5.6.

Find and delete this config file and the SM tool will start working again: StrategyMonitorConfiguration.xml

You'll find the exact location in the WL User Guide > Where Data are Stored (enable hidden file visibility in Folder Options to find the file in Explorer).

I'm also putting this in the WL5 Wiki Knowledge Base > Errors.

QUOTE:
I tried uninstalling and re-installing and unfortunately I get the same exception.

P.S. As said in our Wiki FAQ and here on the forum, reinstalling is harmless but pretty much a waste of time.
