If all of my funds are tied up in one stock, is it possible to place a market order to sell all of it and another market order to buy another stock with all of my funds on the same day?

Probably not, but we can probably modify VT to allow you to use cash from an exit order AtMarket for other orders on the same day. Please Create a Support Ticket to request this. Product > Website; Category > Virtual Trading.

Cone, thanks for responding. I created a Support Ticket for this, as you suggested.

Virtual Trading isn't working too well.

Subsequent to my prior posts regarding unexecuted orders, over the past two weeks or so, I've entered at least two, maybe three open orders to sell all in my account at market, and to buy other stocks. Nothing was executed.

Please close out my Virtual Trading account. It is a frustrating waste of time to have had to suffer through so many unexecuted items.

Very sorry about this. I can see that Virtual Trading isn't picking up all the orders :( Thanks for the heads up at least. We'll get this solved ASAP. If you want to try again sometime in the future with a fresh account, just let me know in a Support Ticket.

Also, keep in mind that we can fix trades if you notify us in Support about it. Again, if you want your CMED and GOL trades from yesterday, please create a Ticket.

I'll give WL Virtual Trading a few more months to season before trying again.

I recently put my real trades onto covestor, which has a one day lag in updating, and which I found can be erroneous after a split.

I was hoping to use WL Virtual Trading to roughly track one of my WL5 trading strategies to give me a reality check (I don't trust my WL5 strategy's pie in the sky performance results - the backtest report looks like a Nigerian email scam, or something that even Maddoff would ROFL at).

Oh well, later then.
Cheers,

We should have this fixed for tomorrow's session. Go ahead and make some trades to build up confidence, and let me know if you want a reset.

Unfortunately, it appears that we have more work to do to get this fixed :(.

Hi, swuzy, what's your name on covestor? Mine is bwolinsky.

Hi Nexial,

I'm swuzy on covestor as well. I've been lucky these recent weeks after starting on covestor. Just riding the recovery wave after the hurricane. Have you come across any quirks on how covestor works?

Cheers and regards.

Yeah, it doesn't track cash. If you buy 1 share, even if you're worth over $250k and you own nothing else, it considers that as 100% of your portfolio and will mess with your stats. That happened to me on my equities tracking, but not to my equities and cash tracking score. It also has problems with removing money from the account, especially when you have no position, it will consider that as a -infinity percent loss.
