I was wondering if it is possible to get TradeStation data provider on the ToDo list after reading the E-Signal thread? TradeStation now has a WebAPI using JSON. This would allow me to test my futures strategies in WealthLab instead of TradeStation. Also TradeStation historical data is much better than Fidelity data.

The TradeStation WebAPI group are very responsive (unlike the E-Signal team seem to be). This is the site describing the API details. http://tradestation.github.io/webapi-docs/

p.s. I've actually already wrote the code to connect to their API but I haven't been able to get it connected to WelathLab as I'm not sure how to handle the Authentication in WealthLab.

If there is significant community interest, it may be considered. Thanks for the idea. And when/if the idea receives a community following, we'll need login credentials for development and testing.

As I was reviewing some old feature requests, this one falls into the discarded category. No community followup is just one problem and support for the competitor product could be a showstopper with the product owner.

You might find interesting that 3rd party developer IBAutoTrader has released a full-fledged solution for Interactive Brokers which includes broker and static/streaming data providers. Non-WLP users can check it out:

I don't think our team would be interested in pursuing this project this year. For all soon WLD users (read: WLP customers) it will be possible to trade through Interactive Brokers and use its historical/realtime data. Please see post #4 above for solution. Unfortunately, IBKR Pro is not commission free because its API isn't available to IBKR Lite plan users. But so far it's the only time-tested and supported alternative.

I am following up on this thread, i think it would be great to have WL connect to Tradestation for trading.
