Hello,

I create a strategy, compiled it, optimized its parameters, and run it manually. Everything was fine. I then added a strategy to the monitor, activated it and enabled AutoStage. I left in the morning and was hoping to see some sort of activity at the end of the day, but when I came back, I discovered that my strategy did not run and therefore no trades were placed. Can someone please let me know if there are anything that I missed or what may be a reason why my strategy did not run. Thanks

First, we highly advise against letting a Strategy run by itself. Although you were just checking for Auto-Stage activity (no problem there), I just want to stress that Automated trading is to help reduce your workload, but you should be there to monitor its progress and takeover when unforeseen problems occur.

Second, it's possible that your Strategy doesn't actually generate alerts.

Third, we've been tracking intermittent Staging problems since just before 5.4 was released (so they existed in 5.3 too). Fidelity was able to fix one of the factors for 5.5 (later this month) but there are problems that still need to be isolated and fixed.

Consequently, Auto-Stage/Place should be considered unreliable and monitored closely until the problems are resolved. Manually place Alerts when required.
