I have read all the help articles and forum threads around about forex and the symbol info manager and i still can't seem to get my head around how to set it up properly, my results are always clearly wrong. What do i put under each of the headings below for a forex symbol where a tick is 0.0001 and each tick is worth $1 , the margin required by the broker is 1%.
Type
Margin
Point Value
Tick
Decimals

Assuming the FX dealer's account-killing leverage of 1:100, the contract size is 1/0.0001 = $10,000. So the margin is $100 (mini?) and here's how I would fill in the Symbol Info Mgr values:

Type = Future
Tick = 0.0001
Margin = 100
Point value = 10000
Decimals = 4

Please keep in mind that symbols are case-sensitive.

Hmmm, i had it correct the whole time, upon closer inspection the profit/loss for each trade is right, however, the buy and hold profit/loss is inflated by an extra 100x than what it should be at 1 to 100 margin, ie its like 1 to 10000, also the bottom status bar shows "BH APR: NaN%"

The backtest "Margin Factor" should be 1:1 for anything besides stocks. The leverage for futures (and forex) is offered by controlling a contract.
