This is just a heads-up for the community. The economic indicators (e.g. CPI, PPI, Unemployment Rate, etc.) provided by Fidelity have their last data point around Dec-2009 or so; they have not been updated since. Those folks who utilize them in their scripts should be aware that any series they have created based on these indicators are just showing the value as of last data point reported.

I have already called Fidelity to complain; you may also wish to do the same (a few extra voices won't hurt).

Meanwhile, you may use the YCharts fundamental & economic data provider. The list of items, some of them available on a daily/weekly basis, is extensive: Wiki link

I asked about this several weeks ago and was told that a new provider for the Econ data is coming on line before the end of the year. With luck a resolution should be seen in the coming weeks.

Wish Fidelity had some standard way of communicating such issues to users rather than leaving them to be discovered by accident.

Does anyone know if Fidelity fixed the economic indicator data?

You can try downloading the data to verify or call Fidelity directly. Regarding Fidelity login problems and Fidelity data issues, contacting your Fidelity rep is usually just what the doctor ordered.

I checked on the status of the Econ data, and there were still issues surrounding the vendor that are expected to be resolved by the end of July. An update for WLP won't be needed... it will just start working when the problems are worked out.
