Hi,

I would like to purchase WL5, so I installed the trial version. After installation the following error message appears befor I could enter my user name:

"The initialization of the application is not correct (0xc0000135). To close the application please click OK button."

Could somebody tell me what is this ? Is there a support mail address where I can write this problem ? I can not buy WL5 until I dont know if it runs on my computer properly.

You came to the right place.

Could you provide more details about your configuration: operating system version, is it 32/64-bit (if Vista/XP), WLD installed under regular user or admin, do you have write permissions to the directory Program Files\MS123\Wealth-Lab Developer 5 ?

My operating system is Windows XP Professional with service pack 2. I installed WLD under regular user (I dont use password to my computer). I dont know if I have write permissions to this directory but I dont find this directory in Program Files folder at all, although a message came up that the installation was successful. During the installation didnt appeared any window with a destination folder at all.

How can I find out if my Windows is 32 or 64 bit version ?

Thanks for the information. Please uninstall Wealth-Lab, and then install it under admin account. The problem, most likely, will go away even when subsequently working with WLD under a regular user account.

See Wealth-Lab 5 Wiki Knowledge Base:

I understand now what do you say with regular user and admin. I use only one user setting on my computer and that is admin. There are no other users set up, I use my computer as admin so I have probably admin rights. I installed WL5 as admin so it should work, but it doesnt. I formatted my C: and then installed the windows new, and then installed WL5 new as admin, but the error message is the same.

Should my computer connected to the internet during installation ?

Most likely, you either don't have .NET framework v2.0 installed, or there's an unsuitable .NET FW version (e.g. 1.1). Wealth-Lab 5 requires installing .NET 2.0 first.

Other less much likely reasons - .NET FW 2.0 installation broken (fixed by reinstalling), or the file MSCOREE.DLL is broken or deleted.

OK. That was the problem. I installed .NET FW 2.0 and now WL5 Trial is running.

Thanks.
