I can't seem to find a straightforward way to save a Strategy. I would expect it to be an option in the "Charts and Strategies" drop-down. Nope. Not in the top menu items either.

There should also be a Save As... option, so you don't have to go back and create the strategy again from scratch because you want to test a different setting (a la, # days in the moving average, profit/stop loss %, etc.).

What I have been doing to force a save is to close the Strategy window, which prompts the "Save?" dialog box. Even doing that is kludgey, since there's no (apparent) way to close a maximized window: I've been going up and clicking on the Charts and Strategies menu, which pops the Strategy window back to tiled, and using the close button which appears on it.

There are at least three ways to save a Strategy:

1. File menu - Save, Save As. This is Windows standard.
2. Your keyboard - Ctrl-S. Windows standard again and pretty easy.
3. Navigation bar - Save and Save As buttons.

Even though the buttons seem detached due to the multiple toolbars, click the small "x" under the big red "X" in the upper right corner. Also, Ctrl+F4 closes the window in focus, whereas Alt+F4 closes the application...all standard Windows design.

HA! I never even noticed this. THANK YOU!

Ctrl+F4 was new to me. I primarily use a MacPro, so many of the Win conventions are not top-of-mind.

Thanks as always for your prompt responses!

They are on the left to "Login to Fidelity". If you don't see it as well then you might accidentally made the Function toolbar invisible (check it under the View menu).

I assume you're referring to:

??? The only options available on the Function toolbar are:

New | Open Strategy | Logged In To Fidelity | Preferences

Are we using the same version of the software?

Right. That's because you have no Strategy window. What should the software save then?
Open a Strategy window, the buttons will appear.
