I was wondering if there was a way to switch time scales on a chart (i.e. from a 5 min chart to a 10 min chart or 60 min chart etc.) and have it retain any drawing tools that were placed on the chart such as lines or fib retracements etc? It seems when switching to a different time scale the lines I have drawn on the chart do not carry over to the new scale.

As you've found out, chart drawing objects depend on bar scale. This is by design. You have to recreate any CDOs on the new scale.

Bar and Price drawing objects translate easily between the timeframes. Simply copying the drawing files from folder to folder works for these. Text boxes, call-outs and other objects don't perform as well when copied from scale to scale.
That said, I started work on a utility application that will push changed drawing files from folder to folder. When it's reasonably done, I'll make it available as a freeware... I'm a bit out of practice with C#... give me a month.
