Hi Eugene, I tried to improve the database provider performance. SQL Server is too slow, I installed MySQL 5.5.29. Hope it could be good.
It is smooth to create a new DataSet at the begining. Eventually at the end, I clicked finish, then an error message was showed as "'3.51' is an unexpected token. The expected token is '='. Line 5, position 44". What does this mean please? If I clicked continue rather than quit, it says that a dataset with the same name existed. I checked them out, these datasets were created without data.

Sorry, my experience with MySQL is very limited and I don't have it installed. I also have no idea what this exception text might mean, as I haven't seen it before in this context.

In addition to following all MySQL tips found in the DB provider's online manual: Usage Notes and Limitations (use SQL Server mode in the first place), experimenting with different drivers using MySQL connection strings, I recommend that you copy/paste your connection string here along with the relation schema of your database table.

I am sorry to see y our answer. I thought database provider might be an ideal answer for my data. However it is not good as I expected. I maybe need to think about other way.

Anyway, my opinion is that it's not the SQL Server "too slow" (it's blazing fast) -- it's a misconfiguration of the database or incorrect SQL Server setup.

Thanks for giving me a light of hope. :) I will work on improving SQL Server performance later.

I could probably fix it for MySQL as well, provided that you 1) try the steps in my reply #2 and 2) supply me with the requested data.
