In an duplicate thread, WEALTHPRO25 asked:

can someone please explain the difference between p4=1 vs p4=26 in the editor, because if you use p4=26 than on the chart you do not see candles for last 1 month, also i want to change the color of chikou span it is difficult to see.

The reason is explained in Cone's reply in the thread where the forward-plotting Ichimoku code originated from:

Ichimoku - Future Kumo

It's by design that you don't see candles. The more "traditional" approach can be found in this thread:

Ichimoku

P.S. If you found code in a past discussion on the forum and have a question with regard to it, please do not start new threads in inappropriate forum categories. No one's willing to understand cryptic passages like "p4=1 vs p4=26" here and in your preceding thread:

QUOTE:
WHEN USING KIJUNSEN THERE IS NO DATA FROM 11/28/14 TO TODAY 5/29/15, BUT IF I CHANGE
THE CODE FROM P4 = 26 TO P4=1 THAN IT PLOTS TO 5/29/2015

The correct strategy for obtaining support is to find the originating thread and ask there. New threads without reason don't help supporting you. Thanks for your cooperation.

Hello Forum

Can you tell me what part of program in post #2 needs to be changed so that chart will work on daily data as oppose to hourly data?

Nothing. It works in any bar scale.

Thanks for prompt response, and yes you are right it does work in any bar scale. Was getting error message yesterday with same data which is rather odd!

Good. When support is required, don't hesitate to type in the exact error message and conditions to reproduce the error (data loading settings, position sizing, related settings etc). This makes troubleshooting easier.
