Hi all,

new to this forum and wealth lab pro I have version 5.4 that I am using. has anyone run into the "By symbol" tab missing on the performance visualizer when backtesting on a dataset that has multiple symbols. I made sure the box for "by symbol" is checked under tools >>>> preferences. It seems when I save a workspace with various strategies open it happens,but if I get out of the workspace and just open the strategy the "By symbol" tab is on the performance visualizer. any ideas? thanks

Could be that the window that you saved with the Workspace was created when By Symbol was not enabled. Open that ws, close the window, open that script again, and re-save the ws.

Excellent.... that did the trick I had to save as a new ws though. When I tried to overwrite the old one it kept reverting back to same problem.

This should not happen unless you don't have the "modify" rights for the file or it was read-only.

checked file in workspaces directory was not marked read only...not sure what problem was

For the record, which operating system and are you working from an admin account? tia.

using XP home edition SP2...also logged in as administrator. I was able to write over the file its just the problem seemed to stay with the newly overwritten file. will monitor to see if it happens in the future.
